ESTEEM resources
The ESTEEM Safety Training Certificate System for Trainers and Trainees has been developed from the knowledge gathered as part of the ESTEEM Safety Training Knowledge Base, and from the implementation and evaluation of the ESTEEM Safety Training Package and ESTEEM Safety Training Evaluation Device.
Download the certificate templates and modify to include the details of the training organisation:
Trainers who attend a ‘train the trainer’ session to learn about the Safety Training Package and how to deliver it are awarded a Trainer Certificate.
Trainees who complete the Safety Training Package, including both the face-to-face training and the e-learning, are awarded a Trainee Certificate.
Trainees who continue to use their new learning and maintain their safety behaviours over time, may also then be eligible for a Trainee Excellence Certificate.
To qualify for the Trainee Excellence Certificate:
The trainee must complete the Worker Survey for Excellence Certificate (PDF, 464KB), six months after training is completed. This will assess the extent to which the trainee continues to apply their training in technical and non-technical skills.
The trainee’s supervisor must complete the Supervisor Survey for Excellence Certificate (PDF, 475KB), six months after training is completed. This will assess the extent to which the supervisor feels the trainee continues to apply their training in technical and non-technical skills.
Download the template for the Trainee Excellence Certificate (PDF, 615KB) and modify to include the details of the training organisation.
This guide (PDF, 553KB) outlines the process for awarding the certificate of excellence.
